The first day…

On Sunday, we met at the bus station at 7pm. We drove through the night and arrived at 5am on Monday. We were very tired and hungry. We couldn’t get into the hostel before 2pm, so we locked up our baggage. After that, we went by tube to Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and Westminster…

It was very sunny.

Then we went to Trafalgar Square. We had a short break. After that we went to Piccadilly Circus and could buy some souvenirs and food. Our next stop was Buckingham Place. We saw the Changing of the Guards and had a break for about an hour. We also wanted to visit Tower Bridge, but we were too tired to go there. So we took a bus to our hostel and got our rooms after a while to have a rest.

In the evening, we went to a pub and ate traditional food like fish and chips.

After dinner, we were free to decide if we wanted to go back to the hostel or to go to the city.

The second day …

On Tuesday morning we had a sightseeing tour with Paul, the guide of the trip. He showed us the ‘’City of London’’ and Westminster.

As we passed the sights, he also told us about London’s history. After the tour we went to the “Natural History Museum”, where we saw skeletons of dinosaurs and other kinds of historical reptiles and mammals.

The other part of the class went to ‘’The Victoria and Albert Museum’’. The museum is divided into different sections which show the different cultural living conditions in history.

After visiting the two museums we made our way to Camden Market. It’s a long street with markets of all types, restaurants, stores, and stands. We shopped there, spent a lot of money and then we met at the tube station.

In the evening we went together to ‘’Pizza factory’’. There was a big buffet, and we would eat as much as we wanted to.

We could take a drink, pizza and pasta. It was very tasty.

After dinner we went back to the hostel, very tired.

The third day …

On Wednesday morning we went from the hostel to the tube station and took the tube until Knightsbridge to go to Harrods, one of the most famous luxury department stores in the world. There we had an hour to look around.
Afterwards we went to Fortnum & Mason, a traditional department store selling high quality goods where you can buy tea, dishes or sweets. Then we went to Regent Street where a lot of luxury shops are. From there we moved on to Carnaby Street, where you can find a lot of shops for young people. At last we finished at Liberty, a high quality department store which is famous for its floral and graphic prints. After that we had free time.
We all went to Oxford Street to do some shopping. Unfortunately, lots of shops were really expensive.

The fourth day …

On the 4th day, on Thursday, we were allowed to go everywhere we wanted.

We went to the London Eye and Madame Tussauds. We bought online-tickets, so we didn’t have to wait for a long time. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy, so we didn’t see a lot but the sight was still great!

We saw Big Ben and of course the River Thames with a lot of boats. Next to the London Eye, there is the “Shell Hotel” it’s the biggest hotel in Europe. In every capsule of the London Eye you have a lot of touchscreens, where you can choose a sight and get information about it. The drive took about 30 minutes, but it felt like 5 minutes.

After our London Eye trip we went by the tube to go to Madame Tussauds. There are different parts, for example sports, music and politics. You can touch the figures and hug them. It is very nice there!

At the end of Madame Tussauds there is a Horror Way. You can go through a dark way, where actors touch you and shout at you, they run out of the corner. After the Horror Way, there is a 4D cinema, you get 3D glasses and watch about superheroes, who save the city.

While we were watching the movie, some special effects were around us, e.g. Hulk sneezed and we felt it like water came into our faces.
This was a nice trip and we saw a lot of things. J
